*I chose this artifact because it is important to address all different kids of behavior. I don't mean that we should have kids sit in the corner for an hour at a time or leave the class every time they are acting inappropriate, but we need to know how to discipline when we don't like what they are doing.
* I have learned that with simple cues we can stop the students behaviors and it can be done in three ways; verbal, non-verbal and i-message. With a simple look or the drop of a name, we can stop the misbehavior fairly quickly. Unfortunately if it is a behavior that disrupts the entire class, we are going to have to fix the problem in other ways such as talking to the student privately.
*The theorist most aligned with this is Rogers and his ideas of experiential learning. This is because when addressing misbehavior we have to look at what has worked in the past from our experiences and how specific strategies can change the child's misbehavior's. We want our students to be able to learn from what they have done wrong. Also Bandura's observatinal learning theory because it is based on behavior through observation. We as teachers are able to address the behaviors as we observe them.
